Here we have an old fibreglass flat roof, installed a very very long time ago.

The roof was not leaking, but the customers wanted a new fibreglass roof because this one due to its age and incorrect installation had lifted quite dramatically in places.

The main problems with this roof.

  • Lifted fibreglass (incorrect installation).
  • unattactive (due dated techniques i.e no GRP preformed trims).
  • faded topcoat colour (age).

We stripped back the fibreglass to the old roofing boards which were 18mm and still sound,no damage from water etc.

New fibreglass trims were fitted to the front which were not available at the time to give a great finish.

New 600gram csm reinforced in polyester roofing resin finished in a topcoat colour picked by the customer.

The new roof will not lift because it has been properly installed using upto date methods.

The roof now?

  • New trims fitted.
  • New fibreglass layer to boards.
  • New custom mixed topcoat colour.
